smells like money.....

almost about a year ago we stood at the Ritz Carlton due to the power outage in our neighborhood it's LONG story but we stood at this fabulous place for free with our home owner's insurance.... we felt like a million bucks!!!! night swimming in the roof top pool, having a five course meal in our room, relaxing in the lushes bed and enjoying the bathroom with all the little goodies left in there for us. we came home "smelling like money" because every one kept telling us how good we smelled so, now that we have finally gave in a bought a actual size bottle of "smells like money" i can't wait for it to get here..... it is the perfect scent for male or female with a scent that last all day long and for me that's worth it because i hate to spray my favorite perfume only to realize that i can no longer smell it... you feel me....  this lotion is FABULOUS  and will be here before i know it.... excited!!!!

lately i feel like i have no time in the world to do any thing  but work, school with our son,crafty when i squeeze it in late nights and of course cleaning....but i am putting a stop to that... i am going to sit down this weekend and make a schedule plan and try my hardest to stick to it.....by making myself put a post up weekly about what's going on, what i pulled out of my closet to wear and what i am making this week....lol

summer haze....

helllloooo.....it has been forever!!! SORRY.... i got wrapped up in a million things since late may...planning our son's 6th birthday to summer school, new job (yes, i know again LONG STORY), and now back to school....lately i have been giving my inner creative some room to breathe and it has been a blast from making our son's birthday decorations to now making thank you cards slowly but surely..... i will get all the pictures to together and posted what i made and what i am working now.....i just drop by to say HELLO WORLD!!!!  this is me and my cubby cheeks aly

so when i have a bad day, just need a moment to think or i can't find that outfit....i go and sit in the closet looking up at my clothes (theses are some of my jackets and dresses)...i don't have this fabulous walk-in closet but for me it's perfect....i work with what i got and never let that stop me from being fabulous.... here is where i dream, count my blessing and make magic happen... i hope you have that place too... ...

so i found these shoes a while back and i couldn't say no....it's always nice to have a classic piece that will stay forever timeless....yes i broke the budget but it's worth the cost. i have the perfect moment to wear these coming up.... which is the proud honor of being ABIGAIL MARTINEZ's god mother.... i will post up all the pictures and outfits .....(it's not until mid june lol)

i love to find something old that's been laying there forever and make it into something new... i've been dying to learn how to really sew like my favorite person martha stewart ....so i drove my hubby crazy until he got me a new sewing machine.....and well let's just say i need help and time ....hey but i'm not giving up....here's my new baby and i can't what to show you my work....

since stating my new job back in feb it's been easier to go without heels and throw on flats... since i don't really see that many people and it's just really three people i see on a daily bases in the office if that.... but i have soooo many heels that i've been dying to wear like these ones..... i need that perfect outfit for that night out... can't wait to walk in these and feel BEAUTIFUL!!!! something about heels and pavement makes me feel like i'm the boss. can't wait to see what i come up with?!?!?!?!

friday night was all about game night...with starting the weekend off with game night....we had a family day out to the dodger's game for friday night fire works...it was awesome with LOTS of laughter and LOTS of food (and for the adults beer!) i wore my gap jean jacket,mustard forever 21 shirt with basic white tank top underneath, black express jeans, and grey converses. we all had a great night!!!

family day out

we try our hardest to keep our son busy as a bee and sometimes we love to be a kid with him. we went to universal studios for the day and a blast running around the park like crazy...my outfit fit so well with the day grey converse, h&m shorts, striped sailor t-shirt from forever21 and pulled back hair out of my face so i could enjoy everything from eating cotton candy until our tummies hurt,getting on rides....just living life as a parent and a child with him was so great.

birthday wishes....

this past week was my beautiful, accomplished sister's 21st birthday... the celebration started with dinner at her favorite mac and cheese spot in downtown l.a. called pete's cafe. food was yummy; leo's plate was more delicious then mine but i'll survive. after some cocktails....we walked down to the mezz bar at the alexandria hotel to enjoy the live band for art walk. sitting their flashing back though all the corky memories,good times,bad times,laughter and life speech i realized that she has transformed into a beautiful, smart, loving young lady that i am proud to call my sister. this was a great night to many too come i can't wait to do this again or look back when we're old and grey... and laugh at our fashion, moments we shared that night or just sit in silent and reflect on the bond we've created together as sisters and as friends.

weekend events...

 

saturday night fever.....the party is finally here. it turned out so great all the hard work my sister-in-law put into and made it so special for us and her beautiful daughter i'm sure she's finally glad it's over no more stressing or anything. it turned out so great and she got lots of gifts from the family.. it was great to see everyone here. even hello kitty herself showed up. that was so nice of her!lol
it was a long day full of fun games and crazy kids but we all survived....


sunday we pretty much cleaned and relaxed around the house we had some yummy treats that i made which some simple ingredients and lots of love except that they went so fast i didn't get a chance to take a picture of the chocolate chip cookies. after getting the cookies out of the way i started to cook dinner chicken with basic season and some saute asparagus with a side cup of puree lobster bisque.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

even though i love been in closet find cute outfits lately i've been in the kitchen cooking up some yummy dishes and spending lots of great times with my family. my weekend started off ok and it end in a high note. can't wait to see what's in store for the week......

great gift ideas

with my niece turning one and her birthday party finally here!! (due to the rain on the day it was planned it was pushed back 2 weeks) i thought of sweetest gift for both mommy and baby but being that my week was so crazy i have wait to get it in the mail (yes, my gift will be late but we have a back up gift) but i thought i'd share with you and maybe it might help others who are stuck trying to find the right gift for that little one....
